In this post I’m going to talk a little bit about my favorite band, that being Alice in Chains. I first heard about this band through TikTok when someone did a guitar cover of the song “Nutshell”. I immediately loved it and knew I had to listen to all of their stuff. Layne Staley is recognized as one of the biggest voices in Grunge history and with good reason, his vocals throughout their albums is able to give such raw emotion, as well as their lyrics that often talked about issues of addiction and depression .
As it happens to be the case with many rockstars Layne had an untimely death at just 34 years of age due to a mixture of drugs. Even after his passing the band has cemented themselves as one of metals most iconic bands.
